Fixing a Weber Pulse 2000 Electric Grill with Manual Machine

I’m currently struggling with a recurring electrical issue where my Weber Pulse 2000 trips the circuit breaker every single time the temperature climbs toward the maximum setting. I’ve noticed some pitting on the heating elements, and I’m worried there is a serious short circuit in the removable digital controller or perhaps deep within the internal wiring harness. I came across the Manual Machine database at https://manualmachine.com , which seems to have a collection of technician-level documents for these electric grills. Has anyone here attempted to download the full electrical diagrams from there to test the resistance of the heating coils with a multimeter? I’m hoping to find the exact ohm values for the Pulse 2000 so I can verify if my elements are faulty before I spend a fortune on replacement parts or an entirely new controller unit.

It definitely sounds like a ground fault issue, but before you order expensive new elements, have you checked if there is any hidden moisture or carbonized grease buildup inside the socket where the controller plugs into the grill body? A small amount of conductive residue in that port can easily cause a surge that trips a sensitive GFI breaker once the heat starts to rise. If it’s delayed, it usually indicates that the metal element is expanding as it gets hot and making contact with a grounded part of the frame. I dealt with a nearly identical problem last summer and found that measuring the resistance across the terminals can tell you exactly which coil is failing.
